"Living in the Material World" Grant Program
ASM Materials Education Foundation annually awards ten grants of $500 each to K-12 teachers to help them bring the "real world" of materials science into their classrooms. The purpose of these grants is to enhance awareness of materials science and the role of materials scientists in society. Original, imaginative projects other teachers will want to emulate are encouraged.

American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Foundation: Educator Classroom Grants
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Foundation Educator Classroom Grants assist educators in presenting mathematics, science, and technology principles to students (K-12) in an exciting, hands-on manner to develop our future aeronautics and aerospace engineers, scientists, pilots, and space explorers.
Grants of up to $200 are provided for materials needed to promote the teaching of science, mathematics, and technology.(Note: Grants are limited to one grant per teacher per lifetime.)
Preference will be given to proposed activities relevant to aerospace sciences and technologies similar to those defined by NASA missions, which include, but are not limited to:
Aerospace Technology, Earth Science, Human Exploration and Development Space Science.
Funds may be used for classroom math or science demonstration kits and science supplies, math and science software, supplies for making flying objects, supplies for robotic programs, and other materials to help make science, mathematics, and technology come alive in the classroom.
Applying teachers must be current AIAA Educator Associate members or AIAA Professional members actively engaged as a K-12 classroom educator prior to receiving the grant.
